Inviting Members
Org owners and admins can invite anyone by email. Invitees don’t need an account yet; they’ll be prompted to sign up when they accept.
How to invite
Open Org Settings
Go to Settings → Organization → Members.
Enter the email address
Type the email of the person you want to invite and click Invite.
They accept the invitation
The invitee receives an email with a link. When they click it, they’re added to the org as a Member. If they don’t have an account, they’ll sign up first.
The invite link is tied to a specific email address. If the recipient forwards it to someone else, it will not work. They must accept with the same email that was invited.
Managing pending invites
On the Members page you can see all pending invites alongside active members:
- Pending (amber badge): invite sent, not yet accepted
- Expired (red badge): invite link is no longer valid; re-invite if needed
- Active (green badge): member has accepted and joined
To cancel an invite before it’s accepted, click Revoke next to the pending entry.
Removing a member
Click Remove next to any active member. This:
- Removes them from the org immediately
- Decrements your seat count (and adjusts your Team subscription accordingly)
- Does not affect their personal Realastat account or personal workspace
Removed members keep their personal account. They lose access to the org workspace only.
Roles on invite
All new members join as Member by default. Role changes (promoting to Admin, etc.) are currently done by contacting support.
