Documents

The Documents module is a lightweight document management system built for real estate workflows. Every document is linked to a deal and supports versioning.

Document types

Creating a document

From the Documents page, click New Document and either:

  • Start writing directly in the built-in editor (rich text, similar to Notion)
  • Upload a file (PDF, Word doc, images)

Documents are automatically linked to a deal if you select one during creation.

Versioning

Every time you save a document, a new version is created. You can view and restore previous versions from the document detail page. This is especially useful for LOIs that go through multiple rounds of negotiation.

LOI templates

When creating an LOI, Realastat can pre-fill key deal terms from the linked deal:

  • Property address
  • Purchase price
  • Earnest money deposit
  • Inspection period
  • Closing date

Edit the pre-filled template and export to PDF when ready.

Documents in org workspaces

In a team org, documents belong to the org and are visible to all members. The document limit scales with your Team plan:

Realastat does not currently support e-signatures. For signed LOIs and PSAs, export to PDF and use DocuSign, HelloSign, or a similar tool.
